Many of our days, the kids (and we) would start out like this...
Smiley, happy faces.
Goofy grins.
Anticipation.
(On the day the previous three shots were taken, we had driven into downtown Sydney, found reasonably-priced all-day parking, and were having a bit of food before we hit the aquarium... oh and it was hot and muggy too).
As each day's adventure would unfold, we would go through all the fun emotions of excitement and wonder.
(I believe this is the view back over Sydney Harbor from the amphitheatre at Taronga Zoo).
We would climb on seemingly almost anything.
And start getting kinda silly!
And the end of each day would find us all looking something like this.
Here, my eyes are still just about open. Probably 11 p.m. or so?
G'Ma and M-Moo are just about down for the count. Probably 11:30 or so.
And we had several days/nights like this. We loved riding the trains and ferries all over the Sydney area. Sometimes those last couple of miles from the train station to "home" were the longest part of the whole trip. Kudos to Jim for fetching the car while G'ma and I "babysit" three tired, exhausted, whiny, crying kids on the steps of the train station. Oh, and for finding a taxi to carry us all home (in two trips!) on New Year's Eve when the car got locked in the mall carpark!
